[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Institute for World Economy (IWE) is an integrated part of the National Institute for Economic Researches (INCE/NIER) as a component unit of the fundamental research system from the Romanian Academy (G.D. no. 505/10.05.1990), gaining legal personality.

During 1967-1990, the Institute was subordinated to the Ministry of Foreign Trade, for which has developed hundreds of studies and synthesis that represented an important support for promoting Romanian products on foreign markets.

The Institute for World Economy has as its main objective to study the conjuncture of world economy on three major levels:

1) the economy of world countries;

2) the international commodity markets;

3) geopolitical and geostrategic position of world countries, the balance of economic power and the influences on the global economic agenda: energetic security, sustainable development, environmental changes, technological changes, etc.
