We are very pleased to invite you to attend the first edition of the Romania-China Academic Round Table, which brings together researchers and scholars from the two countries, to exchange experience and share their research results and views on the current concerns regarding the global economy and the most important issues of the bilateral economic relations.

We welcome papers looking at subject matters pertaining, but not limited to thematic areas such as: global economic challenges and prospects; the new global architecture of economic power in the post-crisis era; international trade and investments; competitiveness and innovation; the 4th industrial revolution; world migration; the sustainable development agenda, climate change and the circular economy; China-EU relations; the impact of TTIP and TPP negotiations on the EU – China economic cooperation; BRICS and the US-EU-Japan triad; China’s economic rebalancing and its international impact; One Belt-One Road and the 16+1 platform; prospects of the Romanian – Chinese economic cooperation in the post-crisis economy; Romanian and Chinese approaches regarding models of economic growth and development until 2030 – 2050.
The Round table programme:
First day, September the 22nd / Session 1: The World Economy Current Challenges, Developments, Trends and Outlook. National and Regional Approaches to a Changing Global Environment;
Second day, September the 23rd / Session 2: Romania, China and their Relationship in a Changing Regional and Global Environment. Prospects of the bilateral cooperation under 16+1 and One Belt, One Road initiatives.
Paper submission and publication information:
- Title, abstract and resume* submission by the 30th of July, 2016;
(*the short biographical note should be about 50 words, including name, affiliation, professional position and specialization);

Publication: The papers will be double blind reviewed and selected for full text publication in a proceedings volume, or the IWE’s internationally indexed reviews: Global Economic Observer (http://www.globeco.ro/) and Journal of Global Economics (http://iem.ro/rem/index.php/REM).
