Andrei Radulescu is a macroeconomist and scientific reseacher, with background in International/European Macroeconomic and professional experience in banking and financial markets in Portugal and Romania. Studies: He graduated from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Faculty of International Business and Economics in 2001; Masters Degree in Economics, Faculty of Economics, University of Porto, Portugal (2004) with the dissertation „Fiscal Policy: an assessment of the Stability and Growth Pact“; Ph.D. in International Economics, Bucharest University of Economic Studies (2007), with the thesis „European Monetary Integration“; post-doc in Economics, Romanian Academy (2013), with the dissertation „Convergence and divergence within the European economic and monetary integration“. Professional experience: Andrei Rădulescu started his career imediately after graduation, at Banco Portugues de Investimento (Banco BPI), Corporate Finance Department, in Porto headquarters (Portugal). During 2005 – 2006, he elaborated macroeconomic research and forecasts on Euro Area and UK economies for the Portuguese Social Security Fund, the biggest investment fund in Portugal, capitalizing EUR 7bn in 2006. During 2007-2014, Andrei Rădulescu worked as an analyst and researcher on the Romania capital markets, as Senior Analyst at Target Capital and Broker Cluj (the only one listed stock brokerage company in Romania). Starting June 2014, Andrei Rădulescu is the Macroeconomist of Banca Transilvania (the third largest bank in Romania), being responsible with the Macro Research, Analysis and Forecasting on US, Euro Area and Romanian economies. At the same time, since August 2014 Andrei Rădulescu is a Scientific Researcher at the Institute for World Economy, within the Romanian Academy, being responsible with the analysis of the international macro-financial topics. In 2013, he launched the book „The Great Recession: from the world economy to the national economy“ at the Bucharest Stock Exchange. Andrei Rădulescu is a constant presence in the Romanian and International mass-media and participates on a monthly basis to International Scientific Events in Romania and European Union.
