Paul Calanter obtained the Bachelor’s degree at the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies in 2008, and the Master’s degree in Ecological Economics at the same university in 2010. In the same year he becomes a PhD. candidate and is was also admitted as a fellow in “DOCCENT” program, funded by the European Social Fund through the Sectoral Operational Program – Development of Human Resources. He presents his thesis in October 2013. In the 2011-2012 academic year he is an associate professor at the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, carrying out teaching activities. In January 2014 he becomes Research Assistant at the Centre for European studies at the Institute for World Economics of the Romanian Academy, participating as a member in the groups for the preparation of studies and summaries. In November 2016 he is promoted to the scientific researcher degree. Among his areas of interest are included the environmental policy of the European Union and the European Union’s energy policy.In June 2014, he begins the post-doctorate studies, being accepted in the Program “Doctoral and Postdoctoral Studies Horizon 2020”, and funded by the European Social Fund through the Sectoral Operational Program – Development of Human Resources, which he successfully finishes in October 2015. In 2014 he publishes at the Economic Publishing House in Bucharest, the book entitled “Ecoeconomic analysis for the energy sector – Instrument for establishing the strategies relating to climate change”. From June to July 2015 he carries out research activities within a transnational mobility internship at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. He presented over 20 papers at scientific events in Romania and abroad and has published over 30 scientific papers indexed in the international databases.
