The IWE library has a vast collection of books (over 5,000 titles), bringing together specific publications regarding the world economy and economic literature in general. There are available both valuable books written by well-known authors, and recent research papers in various fields. The books from the library are edited both in Romanian and foreign languages, especially in English and French.
Since 1985, the IWE is depository in Romania for World’s Bank publications. In addition, the Institute has acquired recent publications which are edited by the international organizations (United Nations, European Commission, OECD, IMF), national authorities (INS, other departments of statistics from various countries), Nobel Prize laureates or other prestigious researchers in the economic field.
The admission to the library is free, aiming especially specialists or other people who are interested in the economic field, from the academic and university environment, public authorities or business environment representatives.
